The Rec Room is Canada’s ultimate entertainment destination, with over 60,000 sq. ft. of games, virtual reality, live shows, and Canadian-inspired dining. When the flagship location opened in South Edmonton Common, the challenge was clear: each venue needed a control system that could serve different user roles while remaining intuitive, reliable, and secure.

Creative Programming worked closely with Rec Room to design a custom touchpanel interface with PIN-based access. Managers gained full control over the entire location, AV technicians could focus on performance venues, bar and restaurant staff had access to their designated areas, and guests renting event rooms could adjust video and audio within preset limits. This solution ensured every user could operate the system confidently — no manuals required.

The interface lets managers route video, adjust audio levels across zones, lock and unlock special event room panels, and update PINs with ease. Staff can control only their section’s displays and audio, while guests enjoy a limited, user-friendly experience that enhances their event.
